Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) | The PCF is the sum of all greenhouse gas emissions caused by a product from the extraction of raw materials to the end of its life cycle. It is measured in carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e). |
Registration of a Digital Twin | The register for digital twins lists all digital twins (a digital representation of assets) centrally and refers to their aspects, including information about the underlying asset, the asset manufacturer and the access options (e.g. aspect endpoints). |
Secondary data | Secondary data may include data from databases and published literature, default emission factors from national inventories, calculated data estimates or other representative data validated by the competent authorities. |
Semantic Data Model | The semantic data model is a method of structuring data that includes semantic information that adds a basic meaning to the data and the relationships that lie between them. It provides a common language and a common format for data exchange so that the data is understood unambiguously and uniformly by all partners. |
Small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) | SME is a term for companies that do not exceed defined limits in terms of number of employees (max. 50-250), sales revenue or total assets (both < €10-50 million). |
