Catena-X Training

The Catena-X Automotive Network e.V. supports organizations and individuals in building a solid understanding of the Catena-X ecosystem and its practical application.

Through a combination of self-paced learning, structured training, and qualification formats, you can develop the knowledge required to navigate and actively contribute to Catena-X.

Training Approach

The Catena-X training offering is designed as a flexible and scalable learning journey:

  • Self-paced learning through interactive modules, reading material, and videos
  • Structured Basic Training to build foundational knowledge
  • Advanced learning formats (upcoming) to deepen expertise in use cases and technical topics

All training content can be completed independently and at your own pace, providing a convenient way to build or expand your knowledge.

Qualification as Catena-X Qualified Advisor

To demonstrate your knowledge and ability to support others in Catena-X, the qualification is awarded on an individual level.
The application costs 480.00 € per person. Catena-X Association members will receive a discount of 100.00 € per person. 

To obtain the qualification:

As part of the qualification process:

  • your knowledge will be assessed through questions based on the training content
  • the qualification is personalized and time-limited
  • it is awarded in digital form after successful completion

This qualification confirms your ability to:

  • understand and explain Catena-X
  • assess and communicate participation options
  • support organizations in their initial steps within the ecosystem

From Individual Qualification to Company Qualification

The Catena-X Qualified Advisor status is initially awarded per individual.

Companies may obtain a company-level qualification (“Catena-X Qualified Advisory Provider”) once a sufficient number of employees have successfully completed the individual qualification:

  • Companies with more than 10 employees:
    at least 6 qualified individuals
  • Companies with fewer than 10 employees:
    more than 50% of the workforce must be qualified

Once these requirements are fulfilled, companies can apply for the company-level qualification.

Application and Fees

If you meet the requirements for obtaining a company-level qualification, you may apply for a company-related attestation of qualification via our form.

The application fee is €250.00 (net).

Please note that the fee is due upon application, regardless of the outcome of the evaluation.

Verification Process

As part of the application, the following will be verified:

  • the total number of employeesin your company at the time of application
  • the number of Catena-X Qualified Advisorswithin your company
  • the issue dates of the individual qualifications

The most recently obtained individual qualification must be valid for at least 10 months at the time of application.

Employee Count and Validity

The number of permanent employees at the time of application is decisive for the qualification.

If the number of employees changes during the validity period:

  • no retrospective adjustment is required
  • adjustments are only necessary when reapplying after one year

Issuance and Use of the Qualification

The company-level qualification:

  • becomes valid upon receipt of payment
  • is issued only after payment has been received

A company may only use the designation “Catena-X Qualified Advisory Provider” / “Catena-X qualified” after the qualification has been officially awarded.

Access to the Training

To start your learning journey, you need to register for the Catena-X Campus (free of charge).

  • Click on the left tile under “1. Training”.
  • After registration, you can access the training directly.
  • You can also view the initial training description beforehand via the preview option.

1. Training

Acquire a profound basic knowledge of Catena-X through various interesting learning units, which you can use to advise other companies and help them understand the benefits and functionality of Catena-X.

2. Qualification

After completing the training, you can apply for the Catena-X Basic Training Qualification. This allows you to present yourself as a Catena-X qualified Advisory Provider and use the official label to highlight your qualified consulting services.

3. Requalification

Once your qualification has expired, you can requalify by completing the current basic training. After successful completion, your qualification is renewed for one year.
