The Catena-X Campus combines learning, qualification & recognition - for individuals and orrganisations.
Training & Qualification
The Catena-X Campus distinguishes between training and qualification. They are therefore two separate components and may be subject to separate fees.
This also means that training participation alone does not automatically result in a qualification.

Training modules help learners build their knowledge and skills.
Qualification
Qualifications verify that a learner has successfully demonstrated the required level of knowledge or expertise.
Your Path to Recognition
The Catena-X Qualification Framework
01 - Basic Training
All qualification paths start with the Catena-X Basic Training. The training is free of charge and provides the common foundation for understanding the Catena-X ecosystem.
02 - Achieve Qualified Advisor Status
After completing the Basic Training, participants may apply for the Catena-X Qualified Advisor qualification.
03 - Build Specialized Knowledge
Building on this foundation, learners can further specialize through Use Case Expert or Technical Expert Qualifications.
04 - Qualify your Organization
To demonstrate organizational expertise, organizations may apply for a Company Qualification if a sufficient number of employees are individually qualified.

Training fees provide access to learning content and cover:
- Training development
- Content maintenance and updates
- Learning platform operation
- Training delivery
Qualification Fee
Qualification fees cover:
- Evaluation of qualification requirements
- Assessment and review processes
- Issuance of qualification credentials and badges
- Qualification administration
- Maintenance of qualification records

Individual Qualification Paths

02 - Achieve Qualified Advisor Status
After completing the Basic Training, participants may apply for the Catena-X Qualified Advisor qualification.

04 - Apply for an Expert Qualification
After successfully completing the respective training, participants may apply for Use Case Expert and/or Technical Expert qualifications.

Catena-X Qualified Advisor
The Catena-X Qualified Advisor is the common foundation for all further qualifications within the Catena-X Campus.
Requirements:
- Completion of the Catena-X Basic Training
- Successful qualification application

Use Case Expert Qualification
Use Case Expert qualifications demonstrate expertise in a specific Catena-X use case.
Examples include:
- Demand & Capacity Management (DCM)
- Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)
- Digital Product Passport (DPP)
- Quality Management
- Company Certificate Management (CCM)

Technical Expert Qualification
Technical Expert qualifications demonstrate expertise in technical building blocks of the Catena-X ecosystem.
Examples include:
- Eclipse Dataspace Connector (EDC)
- Digital Twin Registry
- Identity & Trust
- Semantic Models
- Registry Services

Company Qualification
A Company Qualification recognizes that an organization has established expertise in a specific Catena-X qualification category through a sufficient number of qualified employees.

Please note:
Company Qualifications are awarded separately for each qualification category. A separate application, eligibility verification and fee apply for each Company Qualification. For example, a DCM Use Case Expert Company Qualification and a Catena-X Qualified Advisory Provider Qualification require separate applications and fees.
Details & Requirements
- Companies with more than 10 employees:
At least 6 employees must hold the corresponding individual qualification - Companies with fewer than 10 employees:
More than 50% of the workforce must hold the corresponding individual qualification.
The most recently obtained individual qualification used for the application must remain valid for at least 10 months at the time of application.
As part of the application process, Catena-X verifies:
- The total number of employees within the company
- The number of employees holding the corresponding individual qualification
- The issue dates and validity of individual qualifications
- The number of permanent employees at the time of application is decisive.
- Changes in employee numbers during the validity period do not require any retrospective adjustment.
- Requirements are reviewed again only when reapplying after the qualification expires.
Currently Available Company Qualifications
Additional Use Case Expert and Technical Expert qualification categories are planned but are not yet available.
Catena-X Qualified Advisory Provider
Organizations may obtain this qualification if the required number of employees hold a valid Catena-X Qualified Advisor qualification.
Organizations may obtain this qualification if:
- the required number of employees hold a valid Qualified Advisor qualification.
DCM Use Case Experts Company Qualification
This qualification demonstrates organizational expertise in the Demand & Capacity Management (DCM) Use Case.
Organizations may obtain this qualification if:
- the organization already holds a valid Catena-X Qualified Advisory Provider qualification, and
- the required number of employees hold a valid DCM Use Case Expert qualification.
Please note: All fees apply per qualification track or qualification category.
Individual qualifications (e.g. DCM Use Case Expert, PCF Use Case Expert, Digital Twin Expert or EDC Expert) are obtained separately. Company-level qualifications are awarded separately for each qualification category once the required qualification requirements have been fulfilled.
For example: A company qualified as a DCM Use Case Expert Organization is not automatically qualified as a Catena-X Qualified Advisory Provider. Each qualification category requires independent fulfilment of the requirements, separate verification and a separate application.
Award and Use of Qualification
The company-level qualification:
- Becomes valid upon receipt of payment
- Is issued only after payment has been received
Organizations may only use the designated
Qualification Status
after the qualification has been officially awarded.
