Deep Dive
Demand and Capacity Management (DCM)
Enable more resilient supply chains through standardized demand and capacity collaboration.
From Reactive Planning to Proactive Collaboration
Today’s supply chains operate in an increasingly complex and volatile environment. Companies face fluctuating demand, capacity constraints, supply chain disruptions, and limited transparency across organizational boundaries.
Demand and Capacity Management (DCM) addresses these challenges by enabling collaborative demand and capacity planning across the value chain. Through Catena-X, business partners exchange relevant demand and capacity information in a standardized and interoperable way while each participant retains full control over which information is shared, with whom, for what purpose, and for how long.
